A beautiful experience set in natural surroundings

Sunstar hotels know true hospitality. They have exceptional attention to detail and we would have liked to have stayed at this hotel a week. The room was wonderful, the service was amazing and our room rate included lift passes which I think was such an incredible touch on an already wonderful experience. Absolutely no doubt I will be returning to this hotel.

the Sunstar hotel has been sold

we enjoyed our stay, the hotel has a homey feeling, country style of the past, helpful staff, excellent breakfast buffet, quiet surrounding, in walking distance to the main ropeway station, and a most gracious front desk, all this making a great holiday though a bit short. was looking forward to return but it will not happen to my regret.

Very family and child friendly place! Excellent service, crib and child chair provided anytime. There's also a playroom for kids, right next to the bar! :-)

Good, solid choice for a family with kids.

This was a good hotel for an extended family with kids with awesome shuttle service to the slopes. The reception/concierge was great--so friendly. This is an old hotel though. Yes, it is charming. But older furnishings, look, etc. Everything worked fine; no issues with TV, water, internet, etc. Large, clean bathroom, comfortable beds. Our particular room for 2 was on smaller side (other adults and kids stayed in another), but it did have a great terrace and the weather permitted us to use it. Breakfast was good and generous, more on the American (heavier) rather than European style of food, but great variety. We did not have dinner at the hotel, so cannot say anything about that. We did have drinks at the bar, and the service there left something to be desired. Our family enjoyed our drinks until staff started turning off all the lights at around 10ish, which to us is way too early. We moved ourselves to the lobby area to finish our drinks and conversation. The gentleman who shooed us out of the bar was working the breakfast room the next morning so perhaps he needed his rest. Also, the hotel is located very close to the bus drop off area. Upon arrival our GPS misled us and we ran around in circles, so we suggest really researching this before going. The area is fine; within short walking distance to plenty of small shops and restaurants. Overall a solid choice. We were here for peak of snowboarding season, so not inexpensive, but you pay for location!

Great decor/ambiance in the hotel. Nice view from our balcony. Great pool area for relaxing after a day of skiing. Free shuttle to the slopes was great...no schlepping of equipment to the town shuttle!! Staff was extremely friendly. Would definitely stay here again!

Überteuertes Hotel

Überteuertes Hotel für ein normales Standard-Zimmer. Die grösste Fläche des Hotels ist mit Teppich versehen. Das Teppich sieht mind. 35 jährig alt aus und verleiht einen schmudeligen Touch. Sollte mal ersetzt weden oder in heutiger Zeit ohne Teppich. Freundlichkeit des Empfangspersonal ist sehr nett.

Flims/Laax skiing

The hotel is super friendly, clean, and has everything you need to enjoy the mountains in the area, either in winter or summer. They also have a very nice and clean wellness area, the pool is on the small side but is still very comfortable. For skiing you need to take the hotel shuttle or walk to the bus stop which is about a 5 minute walk. I would stay here again.

Massenunterkunft Jugenherbergsstyle

Wir haben für eine Nacht ein Zimmer für vier Personen gebucht. In der Buchungsbestätigung wurden vier Einzelbetten bestätigt, die sich vor Ort als zwei simple Pritschen herausstellten, wie man sie aus Jugendherbergen kennt. Diese wurde in ein sehr kleines Zimmer gequetscht, sodass man fast nicht mehr um das eine Queen Bett herumlaufen konnte. Das war eine riesige Enttäuschung, da normalerweise Beistellbetten klar ausgewiesen werden, dieses Hotel sich das aber verkniffen hat. Hätten wir gewusst, dass wir eben nicht vier Einzelbetten erhalten, wären wir niemals in das Hotel gefahren. Vor Ort wurde alles auf Fehler von hotels.com geschoben und man stellte sich quer und mir wurde empfohlen, das nächste Mal einfach über deren Seite zu buchen - ein nächstes Mal wird es aber hunderprozentig nach so einer Enttäuschung einfach nicht geben.

Fantastic hotel. Great atmosphere and location. Pianist played at night. Room with a great view. Included Breakfast was amazing. It felt like a 5 star hotel. Walking distance to a gorgeous lake with plenty of activities. We liked it so much that we delayed our departure time to our next destination.

Mycket trevligt hotell, gratis parkering, pool och bastu. Gratis minibar på rummen!! Frukostbuffén var superb och den enda middagen vi åt på hotellet var också helt fantastisk! Bara några minuter till fantastiskt vackra Cauma-sjön.
