"Of the two rooms we booked, one had a completely outdated bathroom. The showerhead was fixed to the wall, the water pressure was extremely weak, and the water temperature was almost impossible to control. It would suddenly switch from scalding hot to cold. The soap holder was also broken. For a 4-star hotel, it was quite surprising that neither slippers nor a minibar were provided in the rooms. Overall, the hotel has clearly seen better days and is in serious need of renovation and modernization. Considering all these, the price is definitely too high for the quality and level of comfort offered."

"My stay at Hotel Jakarta was absolutely wonderful! The service was exceptional from start to finish—from the warm welcome at the front desk to the attentive room service and the wonderful team at breakfast. Everyone made me feel genuinely welcomed and well cared for. The included breakfast was a highlight and added great value to the stay. The water views were impeccable, and having a private balcony was such a lovely touch—the perfect spot to relax and take it all in. The hotel was also conveniently accessible to public transportation, making exploring Amsterdam easy. A beautiful hotel with outstanding hospitality. I would happily stay here again!"

"This is my second stay in the hotel (room 92 this time) and I did have a nice stay there. There were, however, some minor nuisances that went in the way of the experience that need to be taken care of. 1. the bath room sink was blocked and it needs immediate attention because the sink was getting filled up quite quickly. 2. This was not really a problem for me during my stay but I can see that being a problem to others down the line especially people who will rent the same room (92) in winter. The balcony door needs to be sealed better because I felt draft coming from there. 3. This just me being a little picky here but more tea bags and coffee would have been really appreciated. The staff provided everything I needed but it would have been been better to have enough tea and coffee in the room. Other than that, there isn't really any issue I can think of. I had a great stay and I will definitely consider the hotel again when I visit Brussels again."

"I was very surprised when I arrived to find this is a hostel as there is no indication in the description and I wouldn’t have booked had I known this was the case. It was clean and practical but not in the best area. We had to walk here at night from the train station and I didn’t feel particularly safe in this area as there were quite a few gangs hanging around. The room was very basic with no tea or coffee facilities and no remote control for the TV. Everything was clean but dated looking. The breakfast was very basic with not a lot to choose from. Staff were nice but I felt very out of place in a hostel where most of the clientele were large groups of young people."
