Family friendly Hotels in Fiordland National Park Area, Southland

"Staff was friendly and helpful. Bed was super comfy and area quiet. It was the perfect retreat spot before hiking."

"The hotel is not a hotel it is a motel . The drive to Te Anau is 20 mins. The view from the motel is beautiful. The beds are not comfortable, and the pictures on Expedia is a misrepresentation of what the property actually is."

"Great place to stay! Definitely recommend as a base to stay in the area. Right in front of the lake and walking distance to the town centre."

"Great place to stay! Staff extremely friendly and helpful offering lots of suggestions of things to do and places to eat. Room was spacious and nice with lovely coffee on offer too."

"After sleeping in a van for a few nights, this place was the BEST. In the United States, ‘motel’ means cheap and maybe a little gross, but this place felt cleaner than most hotels and had such useful kitchenettes in the rooms. Best warm shower and heated blankets. I’m honestly disappointed we couldn’t spend another night!"

"We really enjoyed our stay. A beautifully maintained and well appointed property. Extremely helpful staff."
