"A great escape in the Alps."

"This was one of our favorite hotels on our rail trip through Switzerland! We visited during the last weekend before the fall tourist slow down. (Businesses and restaurants close for a month before ski season.) The hotel was clean and we were upgraded to a suite. The view of all the snowcapped mountains from our balcony was gorgeous. Breakfast was bountiful! There were many choices for us. The hotel also allowed us to leave our luggage with them after check out so that we could go sightseeing before our evening train departure. Our two regrets were that we couldn't stay more than one night and we couldn't eat more for breakfast! ;-) We highly recommend Hotel Alpenhof and will stay there again if we return to Gridelwald."

"Mountain View’s from the room were amazing. The facilities in the spa were some of the best we’ve used in any hotel. Great food selection at breakfast. Staff were ultra accommodating and very helpful. Location is absolutely brilliant, right in the centre of Grindelwald. "

"Baxter Hotel is very conveniently located near the train and bus stations. It is a modern and stylish facility with very helpful and helpful staff. My room was big, clean! And comfortable. Breakfast had a good selection of food and gave us a hearty start to the many outdoor activities in the Visp area. Thank you Baxter Hotel for being such a nice home on out trip."
