"The room we stayed was a good size and had a balcony with the panoramic view of the Swiss alps famous peaks. The bath room was modern nice. The breakfast was a big disappointment. For a hotel with a restaurant, they could not offer hot breakfast other than boiled eggs, really! The selections were cold cereals, cold cuts, some pastry, bread, yogurt and some fruit salad and fruit slices. The selections stayed the same throughout our 3 day stay. So not worth the charge. The fruit did not look appetizing. I ended up buying fruits from a local grocery. Hotel restaurant offered very limited menu as well. Just fondue and burger. "

"The building is old, but is extremely well kept and clean. The view from our room was AMAZING! The staff was wonderful, and Margarit was extremely accommodating. It was a short walk to downtown as well as to the train station to move around the Junfrau region easily. Dining at the restaurant was a very pleasant surprise with very good food and wine after hiking all day. Note though that there is a short but significant uphill walk from the train station or down town to the hotel."

"ParkHotel Schoenegg is in just the right place. Near to the train station, next to Grindelwald First and right around many dinning choices. The staff are all great and very helpful. The room was comfortable, clean and very quiet. The breakfast is great and their dinner is also delicious."

"What can be expressed in words about the surreal beauty of the Lauterbrunnen valley and the surrounding area! And to make the most of this, find a setting that is close to most activities, but away from the crowds and noise. Wengen is a true loving community as displayed by summer weekly programs of traditional singing, dance, mountain long horn by local artists. Now add to that the joy of being treated as family, and so head to Edelweiss. From the moment that Balazs greeted us, filling us in on not only the hotel but surrounding activities, we felt welcome. And later, other staff knew us in the hall, calling us by name, and welcoming us to delicious breakfast each morning. This place proudly displays the names/pictures of their staff, so we could begin to call them by name, as well. Clean, friendly. Nice views, comfortable room. Please note this is down the hill from the train station by a couple of hundred meters, so take a local taxi if with mobility concern, but by all means add Edelweiss to your joys of Swiss experience."

"Our “Classic Double Room” was so beautiful and spacious with many amenities including cozy bathrobes and a balcony with a gorgeous view, very comfortable bed, separate living room with huge storage space and an extra half bath. The decor was warm and inviting and very elegant with beautiful walls and furniture. The restaurant offers excellent choices and the breakfast buffet was expansive and delicious! I can’t wait to come again some day! "
