"This is a beautiful historic property! Loved the lobby, verandah & other public areas. The historical photos & items throughout are fascinating. We booked thru a 3rd party. Our room was in the back, away from the road, so it was quiet & view was a green area. The room was smaller but adequate, clean, had new carpet & fresh cotton sheets, new windows & a modernized bath with bright white towels. My only disappointments with the room were a slightly musty smell & door peephole without privacy cover. We enjoyed dinner on-site with verandah seating. Food was excellent. The staff was exceptionally friendly & professional. So much more than the standard highway hotels on a road trip!"

"This place is gorgeous, the people who work there are friendly and kind from the cleaning person to the valets to the bartender, to the concierges. The bedding is comfortable, everything is spotlessly clean, and I loved every minute of my stay!"
