"Considering the price, we had high hopes for our stay at this house, but unfortunately, we were quite disappointed. Upon arrival, we found the property was not very clean. There was urine left in the upstairs toilet, the downstairs bathroom was dusty with hair around the toilet, and the bath mat had been folded up while still wet. "We loved our stay, great for families! "

"The host never responded to any communications. I tried calling, SMS, email and hotel.com chat. The agent also tried to contact them unsuccessfully. I had to wait until 4pm on the day of arrival before the agent agreed to re-book. After that I then had to wait for hotels.com to respond. Gave up and asked for a refund. These people will leave you oit of pocket, on the street, in the dark. Dangerous and unethical practice especially for lone female travellers."

"Friendly front of house, which dealt with our check in quickly and professionally.. The room was adequate, clean and bright.. Breakfast here is to die for..It carers for all tastes.. The lovely chef was chatty and interesting to talk to.. The only thing that I would say is that some of the fruits for breakfast had run out and they still hadn't been replaced by our third day . Overall I would recommend a stay here ."

"I often sat at the Lodge and prefer this to the main hotel - the reasons being the rooms are more modern, the WIFI is top notch and doesn't suffer black-outs (like the main hotel does) and the bathrooms are newer and the showers are all really powerful. The only thing better at the main hotel is breakfast... but it isn't worth the extra ££. I'd very much recommend the Lodge !!!"
