"We had a very nice stay here. It is a small 1 bedroom apartment. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. It was decorated in blues and grays with a nautical theme. There were dishes and cups, along with a full size fridge, coffeemaker (there was coffee grounds, but no sugar or cream) and microwave. One surprise was that the futon was in the bedroom, which was the only room with AC. The AC was good enough to cool the if the apartment if toy were careful to keep the doors and windows closed. The front windows did not have glass, so you needed to keep the storm slats closed to block sound and keep AC inside. The host provided camp chairs and beach towels for 2, along with a small cooler to take to the beach. It was a short walk to the beach where you could easily find shade under the trees close to shore. Water shoes are a must as there are underwater rocks. The water is clear and I managed to swim without watershoes, but it was stressful. Many people were snorkeling from the shore. The room is very convenient for the kayak trips to bioluminescent lagoon, with a 5 minute drive to kayak village. The room was hard to find with google maps. Look for Playa Icacos Rooms on Google maps and it is the same place. "
Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Rainforest Beach and Golf Resort
10/10 Excellent
"I took my husband and my two teens to Rio Mar. We loved the staff, the food was great especially at Iguanas. The rooms were beautiful and our view of the rainforest was gorgeous. We will definitely be back. I want give special kudos to Ana at the reception. She was always available to answer every question we had and was super hospitable. Also our waitress Leeza at the breakfast buffet. She gave us so many great suggestions, and was so attractive. We are looking forward to coming back. "
"The resort was superb, we had a really peaceful and relaxing stay. Plenty of dining options, beautiful beach areas and the pools were amaxing.
We can't wait to go back."
"Beautiful property, excellent service, everyone we engaged with were professional yet friendly and personable. Everything was clean yet updated and modern. Amazing amenities. My only critique is related to dining. The two dinner options were a bit too fussy. Simpler menu options would be very welcomed. And obviously the dining prices from breakfast to dinner were $$$$ but aside from that it was an amazing resort that our family loved. "
"Such a beautiful property with wonderful owners. As soon as I booked I received a text message with things we needed to know about the Island and getting around. It was so helpful! Once we got to the property we were greeted by the owner who gave us a tour and a map of the Island! The only disappointment was that we only stayed one day instead of longer!"
"Si buscas un lugar limpio, comodo, seguro Playa Icacos es el lugar que debes escoger para hospedarte, Ademas los dueños mantienen buena comunicación cuando se presenta cualquier situación, como por ejemplo hubo problemas con el agua mientras estuvimos y fueron muy atentos, Lo recomiendo."
