"Skeabost was an excellent choice for us as we explored the Isle of Skye. The hotel is beautiful and historic. The rooms were comfortable and roomy. The shower with tub inside were great. "Very clean room, I enjoyed using the Highland Soap Company products in the bathroom. Plentiful water/tea/biscuits supplied during our stay - real taste of the highlands. Breakfast was delicious at the restaurant located within the hotel. Convenient store just 1 minute walk from the hotel which is well stocked with regular supermarket items. Parking out front of the hotel was easy to access but did get busy at times, I was able to find parking down the street. Overall really lovely hotel worth the hefty pricetag given its location - would definitely return again if I visit Portree. Only downside was that there was no lift, but luckily we packed light."

Portree Youth Hostel

Portree Youth Hostel

10/10 Excellent
"This is a great, low-budget option that is family-friendly, clean, and quiet. Staff were all super friendly. The hostel is centrally located and across the street from a large, inexpensive car park. Everything in Portree is a short walking distance away. We stayed in a private room for 2 nights. The bathroom and shower are small and the water pressure is suitable for an elephant, which is great, but the shower head would not stay put and the pole it was attached to kept falling off, which we simply laughed about. I assume anyone expecting absolute perfection would look for a much more expensive hotel option. We were quite happy with the hostel and would definitely recommend it to others. Thank-you!"
