The baskets and pots of colorful flowers outside was a nice touch. This was a spur of the moment stay for us during our travels and like staying at non-chain locations to support local communities. The one thing I would say, although the room was visibly clean, it smelled of animal urine.

The room was one of the best motels I have stayed in. The only downside is a train that came by a couple of times in the early morning, which woke me a couple of times when it blasted its horn as it went by.

The room was very clean. The carpeted area was soft and clean. The mattress and pillows were nice. The toiletries were more than expected. The coffee area had real half and half creamer in the tiny cups. The only problem with the room was twice in the middle of the night there was a low, gutteral, terrifying, growling sound in the room with us. It happened twice.

Nice Motel in a small town. Place was clean, and in good condition. One of the best owner type motels we have used. Bar across the highway has good food.

Our room was clean, though the carpet is a bit flat in places. This was fact, but in no way diminished the comfort or cleanliness of the room. The shower was hot and worked well. The refrigerator/freezer were a nice size for a compact. There're a few great places to eat in very close distance. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice place to nest a few nights. Found it pretty quiet in spite of the adjacent highway. Some walilng noise overhead, but not too bad.

The motel was clean and comfortable but a bit dated. It has a nice green space for your pet if you bring one. It is a bit noisy with the trains across the highway. We will stay there in the future.

It was ok, the person who checked us in was very nice. The only problem we had was the room was on the 2nd floor and I am disabled so it was tough walking up. But the room was nice.

Older motel with many nice touches and very nice manager. Negatives however were significant such as bright all night outdoor lighting and lack of blackout curtains led to poor sleeping conditions and exhaustion the next day. Also lack of breakfast...even a sweet roll...added to am stress.

Overall, the property was clean and maintained. Some fixtures were dated and the carpet could use replacement. The TV is also really small, but we weren't really there to watch TV. The bed was reasonably comfortable and there was an A/C for warmer weather. There was a bit more road noise than expected, people speeding by in the middle of the night despite the speed limit, but you can't really blame the motel for that. I have definity stayed in nicer, but reasonable for the price.

Wish i could give 0 stars

Room 26. Door was broken. Door knives was broken. Dead bolt was broken. Boogers on handle in shower. Mold on caulking in shower. Heater so loud we couldn't sori. Then every 20-30 mins trains would go through town blaring horns all night long. Didn't get 30 mns of sleep. Left at 7am after the worst night ever.

Good location right off the highway, convenience store very close. Room looked clean but smelled bad, smoke and musty. Carpet looks original to the mid century as well as the chairs. No vent fan in the bathroom. To pay this much for a run down place is pretty hard to tolerate.

Unfortunately there was little redeeming quality to our stay. Cons-We were not greeted in a friendly manner upon arrival, the person checking us in barely spoke at all, and looked a bit put out. We found our room to be very damp smelling upon arrival with lots of white stains on the carpet. There were visible blood stains on the box spring protector on one of the beds (no small amount- I own a B&B, try baking soda & peroxide, to remove!) and we found a dead bedbug? belly up on the dresser as we were grabbing our things to check out. I left that for the cleaner to see. (we didn't get bites at all, so could've been something else but with the blood on the side of the bed who knows). It's also super noisy from the train and busy road. Pros- they provide earplugs (just 1 set), fridge/microwave in room and it's pet friendly with an area to walk the dog right there. The actual bedding was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The person in the lobby at checkout was actually friendly. A different room may have had no issues, but based on our experience I won't be giving it another try.
