"We paid months ahead as with many other accommodations, which we've never had any issues with. This place was hard to find so we called to clarify directions, and we were told if we didn't have a 4x4 that it wasn't possible to get to (which was NOT mentioned on the booking site on Expedia) We were left to scramble and find a place to stay last minute which was inconvenient and cost a lot more. We were also informed we would be given the money back but months later we still haven't seen it. "

"The property’s location was excellent—right on the beach and about a 10-minute drive to Jaco. It had a charming old-world feel, and the staff were friendly. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended. The property is in serious need of renovation, with many things visibly falling apart. Some units lacked hot water, and while the service was polite, it was very slow and eventually got the job done.
