Sand Castle on the Beach - Adults Only

"Great atmosphere, spectacular views of the Caribbean horizon, beautiful beach, everyone was very friendly (Ifa =)), and the rooms were very well-decorated and equipped. A word of advice to those reading this review: when you travel to any island, remember that they face challenges that many mainland countries don't. Arrive with a positive attitude and don't criticize trivial matters or write pointless reviews that negatively impact these small businesses that work so hard to operate on an island. Enjoy the moment and live!"

The Cove Hotel St.Croix

"The Cove Hotel was a wonderful stay for my daughter and I. It was a quiet, peaceful area of the island and had beautiful views of the mountains and ocean. Doug was FANTASTIC! He helped bring in our luggage, kept our room fresh and was always available with advice for restaurants or activities. I even had an issue with a blown tire and he was more than willing to help plug it (but I was able to finally contact the rental company who fixed it). The room was beautiful and up to date. The entire hotel was decorated so beautifully and was well cared for. The beds were very comfortable as well. I should have asked where they got the pillows! We had the room with the pull out couch where my daughter slept, and honestly I think it was comfortable too. The couch had firm almost tempurpedic type cushions that laid out into a bed. The air conditioning kept the room nice and cool after long days at the beach, and the shower always had hot water and good water pressure. You can tell Doug and Martha put a lot of love and pride into their hotel, and it shows in how wonderfully they treat their guests and how well they care for the property. You don’t get this kind of experience at a chain hotel. We couldn’t have asked for a better, more accommodating place to stay!"

The Buccaneer Beach & Golf Resort

"My wife and I recently enjoyed our first visit to St. Croix. It is a fascinating island with so much rich history; we made sure to explore the sights at Fort Frederik and Christiansted, and took in the beautiful views at Point Udall. The Buccaneer Resort is a lovely property, and overall, we had a good stay. The atmosphere is very quiet, the breakfast buffet was excellent, and the drinks at the beach were fantastic. Most of the staff were friendly and welcoming. However, there were a few areas where our experience didn’t quite meet expectations. During our dinner at The Terrace, we found the staff to be quite slow and inattentive, even during a slower period. Regarding our accommodations, while the room was generally fine, the beds were quite firm, making it a bit difficult to get a comfortable night's sleep. Additionally, we were disappointed that the air conditioning stopped working entirely on our final night. While we enjoyed the beauty of the resort and the island, we hope these service and maintenance issues can be addressed for future guests."

Grapetree Bay Hotel & Villas

"So one thing to remember here is that the property was built in the 60’s and sat for quite a while but with that said the rooms were immaculate…. Some of the resort does needs some updating like the pool which has a liner and sometimes it feels like you are walking on a sponge, but it was clean and well kept. We were a little surprised as the marketing made it seem as though it was a much bigger property than it is. They do serve three different types of food from the same kitchen. The food was excellent from all perspectives and the serving staff was so attentive and concerned that we were happy with the service. Another little issue we were presented with is that the power was being repaired as the facility is fully sustainable but the power went out a couple of times and we had to ask what was happening. It would have been nice if we were notified about the issues prior to arrival. I’m sure they are working to get it back to normal. They are working hard to get the property in order and you have to remember this resort is right on the water and the peace and serenity are quite admirable and we wouldn’t have changed that for anything. Julie was amazing and offered some complimentary things due to the power outages which we were very appreciative of that. She is caring, compassionate and really concerned about your stay and is quite the conversationalist. We enjoyed our conversation together. The entertainment was top notch..! Thank you for a memorable stay Julie"
