Spcaious, modern,and quiet room with comfortable beds. Very convenient location close to the train station, which also has a subway station. The food at their breakfast buffet is delicious - one of the best I've had at a hotel! Staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Check out was easy, staff were polite, lobby was pleasantly stocked with games which makes it fun for family stay. Contemporary and cozy. Central location - 5 mins walk to Christmas market/train station/shopping plaza. Ironing self-service room was very useful. Continental and hot breakfast were great quality and plenty of options. Only thing missing is maybe a steam/sauna/spa facility ❤️

Basic and simple - with average food.

Overall ok for what it is, but nothing more. Sink in the room didn’t drain properly, breakfast had several cold items (incl eggs, beans, pancakes) so this was not enjoyable. Main ‘restaurant’ food was not much better - chicken wings were super dry, chips the same.

Good location - about 5 mins walk from the station so very convenient. Main issue was lots of groundwork opposite the station so a little inconvenient. I would say the hotel is ok but central Essen was not as good as I had hoped. Hotel was decent enough!

Big room, Big bathroom, very close to Essen Central station. All good but basic amenities like coffee maker, iron, locker, drinking water etc missing in the room.

The employees were wonderful, had good food and was very clean. One elevator was broken so there was only one for all guests. Hotel is right next to train station which is very convenient but the area is a bit dirty and there were many beer bottles scattered around (not in front of the hotel specifically, it was a nice hotel just not a great area!)

Don’t expect friendly, helpful or caring service

TV in the room did not work. The team on site made no effort to fix this or apologise, we were simply told there is nothing they can do (without anyone even checking the TV out). Card machine did not work so could not order any food and again there was no flexibility to put the order on the room. Lastly, we had a family room with sleep sofa which is absolutely not designed to sleep on. Ended up sleeping on the floor for higher comfort levels. Service non existent and very young untrained and non caring staff

Toll, dass immer jemand an der Rezeption ist, so kann man auch unbesorgt noch spät abends einchecken. Leider sind wir fast am Eingang vorbei gelaufen, so schön illuminiert wie auf den Fotos ist da nichts und wir haben die Tür nur durch Zufall bemerkt. Die Dame an der Rezeption war sehr nett, der Weg zum Fahrstuhl wurde uns aber erst auf Nachfrage gezeigt. Das Zimmer ist angenehm groß, zeigt aber deutliche Abnutzung an den Wänden, da fragt man sich, was manche Gäste so treiben. Leider roch es auch etwas komisch. Bad groß, auf den ersten Blick sauber, auf den zweiten Kalkränder, Verfärbungen und Handabdrücke auf der Schiebetür. Die Lüftung funktionierte nicht und war total verstaubt. Auf dem Teppich haben wir Kunststoffteile und sogar eine Schraube gefunden, hinter einem Panel hing ein Kabel herunter, das mit einer Tüte umwickelt war. Pluspunkt die schalldichten Fenster und die Verdunklung. Bett und Kissen war mir zu hart, für meinen Mann genau richtig, absolut sauber und hat auch nicht unangenehm nach Seife, oder Waschmittel gerochen. Man ist mit wenigen Schritten direkt in der Stadt, oder am Bahnhof. Alles in allem okay für ein/zwei Nächte.
