"We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of this hotel. Usually at this price point, you cannot expect the cleanliness and security this location delivers. Yes, it is by a gas station, but the parking lot is well lit and security cameras are clearly being used. There was a lovely woman working the desk when we arrived and someone was there all night. The pet fee was very reasonable for the stay. Our room had some updates and was very clean. The AC worked well and smelled normal for a gulf coast hotel of almost any star level; it's a very humid climate but the room was not damp and moldy. The bed was firm and comfortable. The included breakfast was a nice surprise as well. Overall we had a great stay and would choose this location again when we come through town. Thank you to all of the staff for creating a safe and affordable stay, we appreciated all y'all! "
