Beyond Exceptional! Exquisitely clean, incredibly inexpensive beer prices, super friendly owner, staff, and local patrons. Big room with windows that opened up to the meadow. Food was great!! A must stop from on while on the Camino or in the area. Only recommendation, larger trash can in room :)

Nice stay

Very nice guy working in reception and bar! The dorm was good. Menu peregrino ok. For dessert plastic packed ice cream magnum style but another brand. We had to ask for some more wine after one glass. I had a nice meal with some other peregrinos.

The property is newer and nice and the staff helpful but I think it’s unacceptable to not provide soap in the restrooms. When I asked they gave me a little packet of liquid soap. Was I supposed to carry it around and use it everytime I needed soap?

The sign on the property says "Hostal Rural" and that captures the feel of the place. The village of Espinal (Spanish name)/Aurizberri (Basque name) is only 10 minutes' walk from one end to the other and it is on one of the paths to El Camino de Santiago de Compostela. So, there are many places for pelligrinos (pilgrims) making the journey to stay and it is surrounded by rural fields. There is a pub/restaurant downstairs that is well attended by locals and travellers alike, serving good, plentiful, traditional food and drink. The rooms are not modern, but clean, well enough equipped and comfortable. The staff are very helpful but my woeful Spanish (and non-existent Basque) made communication slightly difficult at times. I only stayed one night and by myself, so I didn't get "the full experience". Anyway, it was great for me and I recommend it.

Far away from Roncesvalles 6.5-7km por el camino. Podeis ir por la carretera. Si hacen el camino tienen q pedir la Credencial en SJPP o en Roncesvalles en el Albergue al lodo de la iglesia. Allí en la iglesia hay misa y bendición del peregrino. El mejor hotel a Reservar es Casa Sabina en Roncesvalles. This Hotel is far away from Roncesvalles the best help from Sonia but food was not good. I almost die shocking on the dry meat!

This room was excellent. We booked two rooms and they were very clean well furnished with plenty of hot water. I would highly recommend this hotel/hostel as the single rooms were very comfortable, including heat and AC. The meals were very delicious! The restaurant bar met all of our expectations with plenty of food and drink. The staff were especially professional! Their hospitality was especially nice after the long trek of 23 miles! 👍 I would highly recommend this stay!
