"Staff were great, amazing building with soo much history which was lovely to see being maintained and is still being worked on. The out door pool wasnt working which was a bit of a shame but the location was perfect as were the views."

"Great location close to station, coastal bus routes and with excellent sea views from the terrace and restaurant. Food really good - plenty of breakfast options and the restaurant meals were superb. Ask for tap water though - cost us £4.95 for bottle of still water! Pool lovely and warm. Room clean, comfortable and a good size. Really enjoyed our second stay here and would stay again."

"We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff were lovely, friendly, helpful and welcoming. The room was clean with an on-suite bathroom with toilet, sink, and combination bath and shower. We ate breakfast and dinner during our stay and the food was good with a full English, toast, cereal, yogurt and fruit for breakfast and salad or soup for starters 2 meat options and a fish option for main and a selection of cakes for pudding for dinner. Breakfast wasn’t greasy and dinner was like a home cooked meal, not fussy but tasty. Overall we had a great time. Parking is on the road but we always found a space. The hotel offered evening entertainment of a singer each night from 8-10pm with an open bar which was nice to sit and listen to before going to bed. You could not hear the singer from your bedroom so you were not disturbed if you chose not to attend."

All cooked to perfection and every bit the epitome of careful professional presentation and flavour. Definitely returning to this jewel in south Hams of Devon."

"Very convenient location not too far from the city center and next to supermarket, coffee shops and fast food. Hotel was nice. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Restaurant served good food too! Only complaint was that the doors can bang a little too loudly if let close by themselves."
