"Our family didn’t want to leave. Got a themed room with bunk beds. It was 3 bunk beds that were full to queen size each with plenty of space between. Our own private door to the pool with a slide. Lobby was fancy, breakfast good."

"We loved this beautiful hotel! Love that it has such character and is decorated so nicely. Very convenient to have two restaurants and a pub attached (we ate in the dining room twice and went the pub for a beer). Nelson is a lovely town, and this hotel is very conveniently located. It is noted on their website that they do not have parking but there is a city parkade right next door, and it was not expensive at all. Will definitely come back!"

"Unique, cute little town where the community makes your stay feel like home and welcoming. Great staff and energy around the community. Very animal friendly, a nice change :) they were also sweet and accommodating. Lived the kitchen and lounge features as well as we felt like we were in a museum, so much to look and learn about. We will be back! Thanks!"

"The room was clean enough, the hot water was either extremely hot or only warm ish. Our tub also did not plug. The staff wasn’t very cheery, and when we went to check out there wasn’t anyone there. Fine enough for a run of the mill hotel. Also the restaurant hours aren’t great, I wouldn’t plan to eat there"

"Our stay at the Chameleon Hotel was good. We were pretty wary when we pulled up because the outside looks extremely run down, but based on other reviews we decided to give it a try. Inside was good and our room was very clean and bright with large windows. The lady at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. We partly chose this place because it included breakfast but weren't able to eat breakfast there. There was boxes of cereal, blueberry muffins, yogurt and fruit cups available in the fridge. We did have some yogurt and fruit cups which were sealed, but didn't feel comfortable eating any of the unsealed items. The breakfast room was always open even when staff wasn't there. The idea of always having everything available is very kind but since it's not monitored it would be hard to know if anything is tampered with. We felt safe staying there but I would suggest extra security on the room doors with an extra latch since there's only the one turn lock door handle. Overall we enjoyed our stay and may stay again if it's cheaper than other places as it was this time."

"What a great little spot. The hotel was very historic the bar and gril good. Had fun playing pool with a couple of local woman - so welcoming and friendly. Will definitely go back. If you are there, you must check out the rock art around town. Very impressive"
