"The property was in a state of disrepair with minor and major issues. From mould in both showers, useless bath, non existent toilet flusher (just a hole in the wall) to exposed wires by the bed. The agent did want to fix things whilst we were there, but the engineer wasn’t sure when he was available that day and wanted to leave the only set of keys with him. We felt it wasn’t a good idea. Apparently, previous reviews mentioned these issues and it looks like the agent/owner are not interested...

"Perfect location for the popular sites tucked away on a street short walking distance from the Rialto bridge and St Marks square. The hotel is decorated in a traditional Venetian style but with a modern touch. The reception staff are available 24 hours and are very friendly. The room was very comfortable with good air conditioning and bathroom facilities. We didn’t choose to have breakfast so can’t comment. Lots of great restaurants on the same street as the hotel and nearby. We would happily stay here again"

"Good location roughly midway between Rialto and Piazza San Marco, a <1-min. walk from the S. Maria del Giglio vaporetto station, which is served by the #1 line and the orange Alilaguna line -- about 40 min. by vaporetto from the train station and just over an hour from the airport. (I recommend taking the Alilaguna from the airport rather than a group taxi, as the latter will let you off farther away and over a bridge -- challenging with luggage.) We had only 3 issues with the hotel itself, all physical: a flight of stairs to the rooms (but they did help with our luggage), a high-sided bathtub that's challenging to get in and out of, and no electrical outlet on the far side of the bed. The room was clean and well maintained. Buffet breakfasts were good; there are multiple places to eat nearby for lunch and dinner. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. There is a stolpersteine outside the entrance."

"We stayed over one night to tour Venice for one day. After check in we tried to have a quick bite at the bar that offered lunch items. Our drinks came right away then a staff member seemed like she forgot to put in our lunch items- there were two of them and we waited for what seemed to be an hour for the lunch items. It seemed like the person who took the order might have been new but the order was not put in until the more supervisory person asked about it and why it was not ready. Other than this the hotel was wonderful and so convenient to transportation and Venice City."

Breakfast was absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of choices to suit every taste. The location was perfect—right in the heart of the city—yet our room remained quiet and peaceful. When we checked out, the hotel kindly stored our luggage until we were ready to collect it later in the day, which was incredibly convenient and much appreciated.Definitely would stay here again.Thank you."
