"The room structure was very inconvenient and unsafe. There were logs of wood jutting out in the form of tables or something like that. And it was very hard to communicate with the hotel staff. Will not stay again. "

"It was a terrible experience from start to finish. The flat reeked of smoke, communication with the host was awful, and to top it off, there were large spiders. I reported the issues to both Hotels.com and the host, but the experience was beyond disappointing. Would not recommend."

I booked this place for my cousins wedding and then long after I booked I suddenly got a message saying they had accepted my cancellation (I was at work in meetings when i was supposed to have cancelled). "The property was very much work in progress the owner had just finished with unit we stayed in but some of the rooms were low ceilings upper floor made us bump ou heads. The driveway was full of work equipment which meant that our car had to parked in the road. No laundry facilities which was a no no."

"A great option for a family stay in Basel. We were travelling from the UK. Could sleep up to 6 comfortably but only one bedroom - with two double beds. Living room had 3 sofa beds - instructions provided to allow them to be flattened. Apartment was clean. Helpful touches were the two Swiss electrical adapters for the Swiss sunken style power outlets (normal round European adapters don’t fit!) as well as a kettle and toaster. "We loved our stay at the Passage. It was very clean, well organized and the staff was incredibly kind and helpful. While the suite didn't have a separate room, it was nice how far away the sofa bed was from the actual bedroom and, with a sound machine, we were able to feel like we had two separate spaces. The bathrooms are very nice, but there were a couple quirky things 1. This would *not* be a suitable option for friends or multiple couples that like privacy. There is only a clear glass door for the shower room and it never fogs over so everyone who walks by has a clear view of the person bathing. 2. The toilet is in a separate room from the tub, sink and shower, so you have to go into a separate room to wash your hands Overall, though, we would return to the Passage in a heartbeat--just a few small things that might have been nice to know in advance :)"
