Avoid!! Hotel in great location and should have been nice BUT....
I don't normally write reviews but this place was a nightmare from the start. On my arrival at 10.30pm from the airport, reception showed me to a tiny dark room with no view rather than the double dulux with lake view I'd booked. They told me Expedia had not paid them enough, my booked room wasn't available and this is all I could have - what a scam! The place was empty and the excuse was an obvious lie. Refused to accept the room and, after 40mins, I finally got a reasonable room. Still not what I'd booked but acceptable at 11.15pm.
No safe in the room. One socket in the whole room for recharging phones, laptop, etc. Was also well hidden behind the headboard for the bed. Could hardly reach it and thankfully I always carry 3m extension cable when traveling for work otherwise I couldn't charged anything.
Eating at the hotel to be avoided. Breakfast buffet ok but took 2 hours to get a basic plate of food for dinner which wasn't that nice in the end. Serving staff all just sat about playing on their mobile phones instead of working. Far quicker, cheaper and nicer to eat at one of the lovely shoreline restaurants just along the road.
Should have been a pleasant stay for 2 nights whilst working in the area. Loved the location but will never stay at this hotel again!
