"The advert on the hotels.com website did not match the facts of the stay. The advert states free parking it was not it cost me £30 for the stay. We spoke to the owner who stated that the advert was not placed by him. It was the fault of hotels.com as he does not use them you get your info from a 3rd party All I know is that I am £30 out of pocket. The stay was good as I can not blame hotels.com for all the rain."

"Well located near the harbour. Modern facilities. Clean. Broad selection for breakfast and food available to order throughout the day. Staff were efficient and friendly. A great place to stay."

"Obviously for £40 a night I wasn't expecting much . Double bed was great. The room big enough. Great shower . Nice size TV in room. Could hear talking though from room below even with fan on and white noise from mobile. You do hear doors banging late at and early in the morning. Worth staying if you on a budget. Didn't try the food but looked good ."

"Every member of staff we met was very welcoming, friendly and professional. The room was very well equipped and the breakfast excellent. The special 6 course dinner was very much appreciated. The one concern, in view of the prevailing heatwave conditions, was that the room and especially the en suite was uncomfortably hot and cooled just a little by the fans provided. Air conditioning would have been very welcome!"

The staff are amazing, helpful & very professional.Food wonderful & breakfast fantastic.Highly recommend Gara Rock, location perfect & panoramic views & lovely walk to catch the ferry to Salcombe.Will definitely return for future stays in the area."
