"The property is really clean and well-maintained. The view out of our harbor view room was wonderful. The gym is huge and much nicer and better equipped than the average hotel or resort facility. There are lots of options for food on the property, and you can eat outside. We had wonderful key lime pie from the bakery (as you would expect in Florida). The pool areas are really clean. The main pool area is enormous and very well staffed with servers. The self-parking system is easy to use, though a valet service is available. The property is a short drive over the bridge from Punta Gorda's downtown area. When we checked in the lady was not very friendly and didn't show any interest in making any eye contact with us. Then she sent us to the wrong room configuration, so we had to lug everything back down to registration and start over. She didn't seem very sorry about that either. The rest of the staff we encountered was very friendly, especially the lady who ran the bakery in the evening."

"It's easy to make assumptions about Motel 6 locations but this particular example is being run by a family that is committed to customer service and a positive experience for their guests. This is my second time staying here, primarily because they did such a good job addressing a room problem I had on the first visit."
