Good day.
My stay was perfect thank you, however you need to update your furniture and baths.
They did not recognize you guys (Hotels.com) as an active "third-party" agent. This led to a delay in finalizing my check-in to the hotel. Also, I was never informed of the breakfast times and venue, so I missed the breakfast (I take partial responsibility for not asking though).
When I checked in is was a circus.
They first insisted that I donot have a valid booking, and after some time they found the booking but insisted that the booking was not paid for even after showing them proof that it was fully paid for.
They eventually put a hold on my credit card for the booking amount.
This was one of the most embarrassing experiences I ever had.
The hotel and room was neat, clean but customer service was bad
We picked this hotel because of its location on the route to Kruger and the positive ratings. The area around the hotel was dark and a little scary as we drove up, but the parking lot was well guarded. Initially we felt a little out of place but the warmth of the staff made us feel very welcome. Dinner and breakfast were both very good.

Quantity, not quality!
Went to visit my brother in Witbank. Family came over to spend time at the apartment but there was not much to entertain with. Kitchen had fridge and microwave but no dishes or even glasses or a cloth to wipe spills with. Bathroom had a damp smell and there was mildew on the wall. Was not impressed at all. It was embarrassing... It was neither a hotel experience (that I usually have and expected) nor was it like other self catering experiences. I will not book an apartment again. For the price, the space is better but the overall experience was dismal.
Camere pulite, silenziose e confortevoli. situato in luogo tranquillo, al momento di utilizzare il pc per stampare il check in dei voli abbiamo avuto qualche difficoltà per il mancato aggiornamento del pc.
colazione ottima e abbondante.

AN acceptable place to stay as highway stop-over
An okay place to stay- we used this as one night stop over after leaving Kruger Park before our noon time flight at Tambo the next day. The location was good in terms of being a quick stop off the highway. If you are using garmin or google maps on your iPhone, the address of this property comes up as in the city of "Emalahleni". not Witbank. We struggled a bit to find it.
The hotel service is good and place is reasonably clean but the condition of the room and furniture is aged and a bit worn. This was a turn-off to me. The Wi-Fi was however strong which as a plus.
from the moment i walked in the receptionist made me feel at home all the time andbthey made me feel free to ask them anything i didnt understand. they were very friendly. the room was great and clean. perfect and the hotel stuff was wonderful. always smiling and they were welcoming. it was a great experience to stay at protea hotel witbank.
We stayed there for our wedding night, it was pleasant. The room was nice and clean. The staff were very professional and courteous. The water in the shower was not as hot as we would have liked though. Other than that, we would go back in a heart beat.
M stay was amazing and safe. Thank you Protea. The room a located first night had issues with smelly wet carpet. Reported ASME night opened the window and walla mosquitoes feasted on us. But was given another room the next night also got mosquito repellent which ended up not being necessary
The room was not cleaned the night after, the TV wasn't clear and the booking was meant to have breakfast

Bad
Clueless staff had no interest in resolving issues of which there were many. Noisy rooms. Lousy Internet. Keys not working despite numerous trips to the front desk.
I had to shift from room 37 to 61 because of the following; 1. Did not have the ablution door. 2. The confirmed room was 36 Sqm and I was given a 22 Sqm room which is no.37. I was happy with number 61 as it is 36 Sqm and had ablution door. That change of rooms inconvenienced my stay.

It is just a stop over the catch a plane in Johannesburg. The rooms were small & our shower flooded the whole bathroom. The staff was very nice & helpful. The name of the town changed & the road signs have the new name, not Witbank. You should have made us aware when we booked.
We made same day reservations so we're happy to get a room. The room was clean and bed was ok in a room barely big enough for the bed. We ate in the bar and it took us an hour to get 2 sandwiches and fries. Inefficient is an understatement. The people were very friendly but their accents were so heavy I barely understood half of what was said. And I am sure the feeling was mutual because of my southern accent. The area was iffy but security was obvious.

pleasant stay
it was a pleasant stay , just that the lift not working . stairs were just tiring but was great staying there.
The hotel was aware of plumbing maintenance being done, however failed to inform us on arrival. We therefore were unable to take a bath after spending a couple of days in the bush prior to our arrival there. They kept saying it would be back to normal "soon". We left with taps still running brown water, if any at all, and are still waiting for them to send clean drinking water to the room.
