"Overall okay for one night as it was easy too reach from the motorway, close proximity to a lovely beach, nice bakery round the corner and we were big fans of the blackout blinds. However, we didn’t have duvets when we arrived so had to call someone from Holiday Suites as there is no reception staff at this hotel. The problem was quickly solved but what was even more annoying was the fact that we had to make our own beds. When we asked the lady who provided us with the duvets in the end if this was normal, she confirmed it was, unless we had booked it as an additional service. Not sure I would have been happy to pay more for a service that seems standard absolutely everywhere we have stayed in the passed. The pillow covers where also too small for the pillows which made them extremely uncomfortable to sleep on and in addition the security rail on the bunk bed was broken with nails sticking out. We were told someone would come to fix it but that wasn’t the case. Guests should also be made aware that there is no shower gel and not even any hand soap in the bathroom. "

"We’ve just checked out of Hotel Suites Nieuwpoort. Overall, it’s been a decent experience. The room is spacious and very good for families with children, which has been a big plus for us. There’s plenty of space to spread out, and it feels comfortable for a longer stay. The rooms are also very well equipped and have everything you could need as a family, which makes it convenient and practical. However, there are a few downsides. The pool was quite cold at 25°C, which made it less enjoyable than expected. It made the kids extremely cold, and we weren’t able to stay in for very long, which was disappointing. On-site parking is expensive, and while there is some free street parking nearby, it’s limited and not convenient. There was also a significant amount of noise coming from the apartment above, specifically from chairs being moved, which was very loud. It’s also worth noting that the beds are not made on arrival (linen is provided) and towels are not included as standard. At the end of the stay, guests are required to remove all rubbish and strip the beds, which is something to be aware of before booking. Overall, the accommodation itself is spacious and family-friendly, but the additional costs, cold pool, noise disturbance, and end-of-stay requirements do affect the overall experience. "

"The entrance to the room was dangerous. The staircase was super narrow (2 spiral flights, plus a loft), myself and my dog almost fell down. What made it worse was the automatic light would randomly shut off while traversing the stairs. Completely unacceptable and unsafe. Bathroom was dirty, trash was there when I showed up, and I believe the sheets were dirty. I ended up itching all over the next morning and may have had some allergic reaction. I couldnt wait to check out and left 3 hours early. No directions given for parking but I lucked out with free street parking and because I checked out early. Probably the worst booking I’ve ever had through Expedia, never again, nor do I recommend."
