The Cerritos Beach Inn

10/10 Excellent

"We ended up staying two nights here, for the perfect beachfront location and relaxed atmosphere. The first day we arrived we checked out the activity up the beach, where all the surf schools are. The second day and night we enjoyed a delicious made-from-scratch breakfast outside, explored the nearby town and settled into loungers facing the crashing waves through happy hour and dinner. Our room (a huge corner suite) faced the beach and we loved hearing the nonstop waves. Unexpectedly great stargazing from our balcony, too. We appreciated the morning coffee service and seeing visitors and guests come and go throughout our stay. All in all a happy first time experience, and we feel lucky to have found this spot!"

"It was a good experience there, but when I check out the front desk personnel forgot to refund my credit card hold for the $300 and it was last December and then I asked them to refund it on January and now it’s May and I still haven’t hear back and they leave me on read only which I believe this is a fraud! Please be aware!!!"

"You cannot find a better location close to the surf. From our balcony we could check out the surf. Breakfast was included every morning. The room had a small kitchen, microwave, full fridge and a comfortable mattress. Parking was right out front. Try staying on the lower floors as this place has a lot of stairs and the restaurant bar and pool are at the top. If you need to rent boards or umbrellas and beach chairs see Chui just out front. There are also a lot of beach front restaurants really close by."

"Exceptional staff and stay. We could not have asked for better service and accommodations. Although the drive is a bit from the airport and it is an unpaved airport, when we first arrived we were greeted by multiple staff with drinks and kind attitudes. We were immediately at ease - a true oasis in the desert. From there it just got better, staff everywhere to help and get drinks and anything you need. Excellent communication through WhatsApp - each time we asked for something they would respond in minutes. The pool was so relaxing and quiet. You could hear the birds in the morning and the waves at night from the beach. We recommend Tomy and Baja Beans for breakfast and Noah Sushi and Herbabuena for dinner. It was worth every penny."

"Stayed at this condo and it wasn’t what I expected. The property managers keep two large dogs that bark frequently, the walls are very thin so you can hear everything from neighboring rooms, and the manager (Nick) took loud conference calls outside that echoed through the unit. Towels smelled musty and there was no bottled water available. If you book here, be prepared to rough it. I booked a ride through Erin and was overcharged by 64.00 and her response was not helpful at all and told me to take it up with the driver. I will not ever return to the condo. "
