Hyatt Ziva Jardín Tropical Tenerife
10/10 Excellent
"Pool was amazing, local is perfect, close to beaches and promenade, staff is fabulous, food is excellent. 10 stars"
Bahia del Duque
8/10 Good
"Hotel itself and grounds are beautiful, it is not elderly-friendly so be aware before you travel. The view from the rooms is beautiful. There are many steps and winding walkways to get anyway, you can take a golf buggy to get around to drop you off near the beach entrance. Unfortunately, we were not informed that the main pool would be closed for the entirety of our stay - this was hugely disappointing. There was also a lack of staff in the spa so you could not have certain treatments. The spa itself is lovely and walking around the grounds. The rooms do need an upgrade and be wary of the bugs in the bathrooms - there are tiny bugs in the bathroom everywhere. We had 2 rooms and they were in both. We also had a faulty shower which flooded our room, a technician came to visit but didn’t fix anything. Room service food and breakfast are terrible, the food quality is awful. Upalupa restaurant is great if you want to eat here. Overall - 3/4 out of 5 stars."

"Lovely architecture of the building and overall amazing experience"
Tivoli la Caleta Resort
10/10 Excellent
"This was an amazing stay from start to finish. From Roberta greeting us every morning when we went down for breakfast and making sure we had a good relaxing time, to Marcela remembering our morning drinks orders. Joe and David by the pool were also absolutely perfect! They were attentive to us and explained the local drink, barraquito, which we gave a try. They ensured everything was perfect for us whilst we relaxed by the pool. David and Imma were very friendly and took the time to get to know us which was lovely. Adrian in Seen by Olivier provided outstanding service too when we went for dinner. Even if he wasn’t sure about something he’d go out of his way to clarify any of our questions and also have great recommendations! Definitely visit Seen whilst you’re there! We visited the spa during our stay and the staff were patient to explain every detail to us, not only about the spa, but also about other hotel facilities and things to do in Tenerife. Safe to say that wherever we were in the hotel there was always someone to help us, and all the staff take the time to get to know you and anticipate anything you may need. I cannot fault the customer service at all. The room is also impeccable, the housekeeping team were also very helpful and attentive. The pools were lovely and clean, and the adults only side was very tranquil. We’ve been to many Tivolis and the service standards are consistent across the sites. We’ll definitely keep returning here! Well done Tivoli!"

"My fourth stay at Santa Barbra, we love the location, the outdoors and the weather. We'll be back"
Melia Jardines del Teide - Adults Only
8/10 Good
"We would rate our stay at this hotel 4/5 stars overall. I want to preface this review by saying that some of the things I mention are definitely nitpicking, but that is largely because this is a five-star hotel. When you are paying for a five-star experience, you naturally expect the smaller details to be taken care of as well. None of the issues we experienced completely ruined our stay, and we genuinely enjoyed many things, but there were enough small disappointments that I think they are worth mentioning for anyone considering a stay here. We stayed in a standard “Melia Room,” which was nicely decorated and had a pleasant overall atmosphere. Unfortunately, the location of our room was one of the things that made the stay slightly less convenient. Our room was located at the far end of the hotel, and the other window overlooked the parking lot. Because the hotel is so large, getting from our room to the main areas of the property involved quite a bit of walking. The room itself was attractive and comfortable, but the bathroom was where we felt it needed a bit more attention to detail. The toilet was quite difficult to flush, which was inconvenient, and there was some mildew in the shower. We stayed on a half-board basis, which gave us the opportunity to experience some of the hotel's themed dinner nights. The Asian night left something to be desired, and the dishes were inconsistently clean. We also had one frustrating experience with the front desk regarding the shuttle."

"The hotel is situated just in the front of the beach. The sunset view from the balcony of the panoramic room was breathtaking. We had 16 drinks on our arrival delivered to our room included in the price of the room. Nice surprise. There are a lot of shops and restaurants around this area but we were dining in the hotel. Every day was a different menu. It’s not the fine dining but the food was a good quality and to anybody’s test. The pool area is quite active, plenty of entertainment. A lot of sunbeds was available around the pool. And the water in the pool was warm and pleasant. The reception staff is very nice. We would recommend this hotel and we will be back to this place in October."
