"My partner and I booked this property however when we arrived at 7pm, there was a large gate blocking the entrance and no one was there. We tried and tried to call and message the property and never received a response. La Fortuna is somewhat out in the country without many on the spot lodging options. "Great location near Monteverde—close to hiking and nature, yet peaceful and private. One morning we even spotted green parrots from the back of the home, which was a lovely surprise. The property is new and well-maintained, with a smart layout that worked well for our family. We appreciated the 1.5 bathrooms and access to a washer and dryer, which made our stay more convenient.
