Eel Point Hotels near Nantucket

"Our stay at Hotel Pippa room 8 for 2 nights/ 3 days was okay. The room was clean but upon arrival the blind was half falling out of its holder and eventually fell all the way down. We were able to fix it but I wish this had been fixed prior to our arrival. Additionally, the bathroom window did not stay open without being propped and the blind in the bathroom was completely broken- it could not be moved up without being propped or slanted open to let in the sunlight. The shower head was angled so that the water leaked through the shower door creating a very wet and slippery bathroom floor. Also, the bar that was advertised as being part of the hotel was not open during our stay. We know we visited the island during 'off season' but there was no notification that it would be closed or that there would not be any staff members on site. The location of this hotel was perfect and a short walk from Main street as well as the steamship authority ferry. We appreciated the included breakfast but chose to dine at a local breakfast place, Black Eyed Susans on our second morning."

"We stayed in the end of off-season, but it was a great experience for a family with kids. Inn grounds, public areas and rooms were all very well maintained. Staff was very welcoming and engaging. Located right on one of the public bus routes, a short walk from another, and across the street from a hidden little breakfast spot. "

"I just wanted to write this review about the Faraway I checked into my room after a long day of moving on island . I got to the room tried to wash my face and hands . No hot water , Tried to call the front desk no phone service . I had to use the cell phone to reach the front desk . Finally after a 30 minute wait maintenance and the front desk attendant stopped by . They had no idea what was wrong and how to fix it . He asked me to move to another room but i declined because i was beat and had already gone food shopping and put it away . Another issue i have a problem with is . I was only supposed to pay $28 @ the property but they charged my card $200 for incidentals. Thats alot of $ for incidentals. I just dont understand how a luxury hotel like that . Can open up for the season and meticulously inspect every room before presenting it to the public . Also the smoke detector was hanging from the ceiling . There was black mold in the shower not a good look with white subway tiles . It was cold that nite i jacked my heat up.to.78 degrees and fan on high . It was soo cold in my room it was like i was camping . The staff was incompetent, unskilled and the quality was unacceptable for a room that cost $700 @ nite to check in . Im waiting to speak with the manager . Lets see if he calls me . TRULY DISSATISFIED "

"The Inn was well maintained. I'm not really a bed and breakfast person, but Martin House Inn was located only a half mile from the ferry terminals, which was important to me. My room was quaint, clean and had a private bathroom. There was no elevator, and I had to carry my suitcase to the third floor. I would stay here again."

"Case was so helpful and had the best energy. Hotel is quiet but easy walk to shops and restaurants."

"Property and room were very clean and comfortable. The one thing I wasn’t aware of is there is no staff on site if you check in after 5:00pm. I had to call the number on the front door, download an app and complete several steps to access my room via phone. Once I got through that, the rest I’m of the stay was fine. The location was convenient with a restaurant/bar across the street and other stores within close walking distance."

"The hotel location is beautiful. The building is well kept and clean. The staff was amazing! We loved our room overall but there were a few minor inconveniences: 1. The shower handle kept getting stuck and was hard to turn off. 2. We went in April and the room got very hot at night. You couldn’t change the room thermostat from hot to cold. So they told us to open the windows, which let a bee inside our room because the windows had no nets. "
