"Rented a room with a bunk bed. Upon arrival, the sheets were dirty and half ripped off their mattress. There were also hairs in the shower. The beds were not sturdy at all, only a little turn and the whole structure shook. The air circulation was non existent, our towels (one per person might I add), stayed damp all 4 days. "Staff were helpful and explained everything in arrival. Clear direction as to where the room was. You get given a towel at reception if you need one, you can pick up shower gel and shampoo and you can help yourself to tea and coffee in the reception area, ni brewing facilities in the room. The room itself was very clean with the basics you need, desk, wardrobe and some shelves if you're staying longer than a night. Bathroom was very clean and shower was decent. Overall a very good stay."

"The property was in a great location and the concierge staff was particularly helpful. The room was quite warm and we weren’t told about the air conditioning in the room. Besides that, everything was good. The hallways were dark."

"The Point A was a short walk from the Haymarket station, which was quite convenient. The beds were very comfortable and bathrooms well appointed. The only drawback was the size of the rooms, which are pretty tight. Would not recommend for someone with a lot of luggage! Otherwise a great place with excellent staff."

"Breakfast okay. Regular English options. Room cleanliness needs work, a bit of a hoover and dusting around ends would be great. Shower curtain was mouldy at the bottoms so that was a bit gag inducing. Shower itself pressure okay. Room was noisy at nights as could hear the plumbing for everyone's shower. Constant sounds. 2 single beds, nice, clean sheets, comfy pillows. All in all okay for price and distance into Edinburgh was good. Within walking distance to Dean village if you have that on your check list."

"This is an OK hotel in the heart of the downtown area. But be warned that you will have to park at least a 10 minute walk away so be prepared to walk your bags through the city center in order to check in and check out. The staff is friendly, but amenities could’ve been better."
