"This was fine for a room for the night, but the listing suggested this was self-contained which we were surprised to discover it was not on arrival. Please be aware you will have use of the downstairs of the house, plus kitchen and garden along with the rear back bedroom and bathroom on the first floor but the booking will operate as an Airbnb style let with the host in situ. "Great easy place to crash for a night after a late flight. I got in at 2am and check-in was seamless. I had a central room (no windows) which felt a bit like a cabin on a ferry. But it was comfortable, quiet, dark and so perfect for purpose. The bathroom is a wet head design which I’m not a fan of as everything in there gets soaked when you shower. I advise leaving showering until last."

"Amazing room with everything you need. Shower placement is amusing. Great location. But: I booked a marina view (great view towards the o2) which meant we were in a studio very close to the lifts. Which chime. Incessantly. And the chime wasn't caused by people getting on/off on our floor (there's a different "ping" for that). It was very annoying and ran into the early hours, when I finally fell asleep (I can only guess it goes whenever the lifts are active anywhere in the building). So if you're a light sleeper, avoid booking a marina view! Also, the lights were very confusing - so many switches and at one point it seemed that by turning off a switch by the bed, we then couldn't turn the light for the bathroom on(!) Overall, it's a lovely new build in a great location, just make sure you get yourself a studio/suite far away from the lifts!"

"Nice upscale hotel. While we didn’t have occasion to use the well-equipped kitchenette beyond the tea kettle, microwave and refrigerator, we appreciated the ability to do more, The bed was comfortable, the bathroom shower very good, enough wardrobe space. Good location. We opted to pay for the hot and cold buffet breakfast, which had everything you could want, and was a real convenience for tourists like us who wanted to get out and sightsee. Very nice lobby area. We were only there for two nights, but noted they had a fitness center, which would been a plus for a longer stay. I would recommend."

"We were part of the historic misery at Heathrow when UK flights were all cancelled. The Rest Up London was a fantastic lifesaver for us! Of particular note was the night manager who calmed us and cared for us. I will forever remember his kindness and hospitality. I will also remember the spotless facility, the clean linens and bathrooms, the excellent breakfast and the warm, congenial atmosphere of The Rest Up London."
