Banana Bay Resort & Marina

"Our overall experience at the hotel was very good. The rooms were clean, the facilities were well maintained, and most of the staff were friendly and attentive. The location and amenities made our stay very enjoyable. Unfortunately, our experience at the marina was very different. The service provided by the marina manager, Sara, was disappointing and unprofessional. We felt that we were treated differently from other guests and perceived an unwelcoming attitude toward our group, which made the experience uncomfortable and unpleasant. It is also important to mention that guests bringing their boats should be aware of the marina fee of approximately $180 per day, which can be quite expensive. It is unfortunate that the service at the marina does not reflect the same level of quality and hospitality that we experienced throughout the rest of the hotel. I hope management addresses these concerns to improve the experience for future guests."

"We stayed one night at Skipjack Resort & Marina while making our way through the Florida Keys toward Key West, and it was a great overnight stop. The resort is clean and comfortable, with a nice pool area and beautiful marina views. While the waterfront view is of the marina rather than the open ocean, it still provides a relaxing Florida Keys atmosphere. One of the biggest highlights of our stay was the front desk hostess at check-in. She was absolutely fantastic friendly, thorough, and took the time to explain everything about the property and local area. Excellent customer service and a wonderful first impression. The resort also offers free breakfast and free parking, which were appreciated perks during our trip. It isn’t a luxury resort, but it doesn’t try to be. It’s a comfortable, convenient, and affordable place to stay with everything you need. The location is excellent, close to restaurants, bars, and local attractions such as the Turtle Hospital. It’s also a perfect stopping point before crossing the Seven Mile Bridge on the way to Key West. Overall, Skipjack is a great no-frills option in Marathon. Comfortable accommodations, friendly staff, good amenities, and a convenient location make it an ideal overnight stop while exploring the Keys."

"The staff here are amazing they are so nice and helpful. The breakfast in the morning was much more than we had expected and cookies and lemonade in the afternoon was a special treat again not expected but a nice touch. Our room was somewhat dated but we’re not there to spend time in the room. My only complaint would be to please update the bed it was not comfortable at all. But I would still give this place 5 stars and recommend it to anyone. Lots of great places to eat in the area and close to places of interest."
