Eastern Washington hotel rooms a the Independent

"The hotel was great. My only issue was after checkout, I realized I had left my swimsuit hanging on the hook in the bathroom. My Fiancé called a few hours later to ask and it was never found. They don't seem very honest to me considering it had to have been found by someone. "

"Just a quick overnight to facilitate getting to an early morning flight, so little time actually spent in the facility. Had to get up in the night to turn on heat, but temps had been all over the place in recent days, so it was understandable. Staff were all pleasant and helpful. Coffee and muffins were available at 3 AM, as well as courtesy van to airport terminal."

"Front desk man was the most melancholy person I have ever experienced at a hotel. Not helpful or even engaging. Every time we walked by he was on his phone and looked like he hated life. Our room was directly above the entrance to the hotel, so we heard the door slamming constantly. I mentioned it to said front desk man the morning we checked out, to which he replied, “Oh really?” Not an apology or how can we make this better. You literally have to be deaf to not know that door is slamming and needs to be fixed. Just a total brush off. The creamer was consistently gone at the coffee area. Very disappointing stay. On the positive side: The bed was super comfortable. The parking lot behind the hotel was convenient, and the hotel’s complementary breakfast at Rubies down the street was delicious. However, I can’t recommend this hotel, nor would I stay here again."

"The staff were very friendly. Easy check in/check out. Older, but still clean. The Denny's next door was great, so it was nice having the vouchers for breakfast there. Would stay again."

"Hotel Ruby offers a great central location in Spokane. The staff is helpful and courteous, the rooms are clean and the free breakfast offers great choices and the food is great! It is our go to hotel for business trips to Spokane. It is also walking distance to great restaurants."
