Tropikist Beach Hotel & Resort

"Avoid Tropikist — it does not deliver on its promises. From the moment we arrived, things went wrong. We were checked into the wrong room, and when we flagged this with the front desk, staff were unhelpful and showed no urgency in resolving the issue. The correct room was not provided until the following evening. The rooms are dated, unclean and poorly maintained — not what you expect when paying for a beachfront hotel. The facilities throughout the property reflect the same neglect. The restaurant dinner was disappointing — mediocre food with little variety or care in preparation. Most concerning was the consistently poor service from start to finish. There was no sense that guest satisfaction was a priority at any level. The one exception was the restaurant manager, who stood out as the only member of staff to demonstrate genuine professionalism and care. It is a pity that this standard was not reflected across the rest of the property. There are far better options in Crown Point and across Tobago. Do your research before booking here — we wish we had."

"the front desk personel were very helpful and pleasent. the concierge desk lady was rude and did not seem to care about assisting us with their advertised paid property tour. she clearly did not care who i was. i would not let rude staff member affect the other great staff and change my option to consider the hotel for another stay. our room was far from the restaurant and i asked to upgrade at our cost however there were no rooms available. seemed untrue as there were very little cars and people on this huge property. this hotel and property has alot of potential and wish to see it be better"

"The room was clean, staff was very polite and helpful. Minor maintenance repairs needed on cupboard sliding mechanism and shower door. Minor repairs being done on the older parts of the large compound, which is generally well maintained. Tennis court is being worked on to include Pickle ball lines"

"I was really disappointed with my stay at this hotel. I arrived around 6 PM and almost everything was already closed, which was frustrating after a long day of traveling. The gift shop was supposed to open the next day, but it never did, leaving guests with no place to even grab basic necessities. The food was honestly terrible and the menu options were extremely limited. On top of that, most of the staff outside of the front desk were not helpful or welcoming at all. The front desk employees were the only positive part of the experience. What shocked me most was that I couldn’t even get a simple glass of water at the resort. There was no water provided in the room, and I actually had to leave the property just to buy water elsewhere. For a resort, that level of service is unacceptable. Overall, the experience did not match the expectations or price, and I would not stay here again."
