"This hotel is in a convenient location within walking distance to the Riverwalk. They offer onsite parking but failed to inform me at check-in that there would be a daily additional charge. The hotel staff was helpful in things such as getting extra towels, directions to services, and such. The daily breakfast was varied and plentiful in each item offered. The breakfast staff was very attentive with refilling foods and cleaning tables between guest use.
Unfortunately, the rooms needed attention with more thorough cleaning between guests. Although the rooms were neat in appearance, they really needed additional cleaning - especially the bathrooms where there was obvious grime and odors in the toilet and tubs/showers. The carpets were very soiled and had a persistent wet odor. The air conditioner was very loud and could not be adjusted on the lower floors.
And then there was the problem with pests (a nymph and a roach). Management was apologetic for the inconvenience and compensated me (us) a percentage for half a day and temporarily moved me (us) to a higher floor. They then moved me (us) again to a lower floor the night before I (we) left.
Although I have always enjoyed previous stays at numerous La Quinta facilities, I cannot say in good conscience that this is a facility I can give a good review nor recommend anyone to stay there."
