"We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and would highly recommend. From the car valet, to the restaurant staff including Jazzy the Four Brother’s bartender, service was fantastic. The rooms were very comfortable, the pool was lovely and the location was perfect."
"We wanted a quick getaway and really loved the historical charm of this hotel. Being just steps away from the Alamo and right in the heart of downtown San Antonio. The location couldn’t have been better for exploring the city.
There were a few downsides, though. Parking was valet only and cost over $100+ for our stay, which was much more than we expected. The hotel pool was also closed due to "it being cleaned" so we had to use the pool at their sister property across the street. While it was nice they offered an alternative, it wasn’t as convenient.
The beds weren’t very comfortable, so we didn’t get the best night’s sleep. I’d also say this hotel is better suited for couples or adults looking for a getaway rather than families with young kids.
On the positive side, the restaurant downstairs was delicious, the shower had excellent water pressure, and the air conditioning worked perfectly it kept the room nice and cold, which was especially appreciated during the Texas heat.
One thing that surprised us was that housekeeping never came by to make the bed or refresh the room during our stay. We didn’t have a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door, so we had expected at least a quick housekeeping service.
Overall, we really enjoyed the stay."
"The staff that we checked in with didnt give us any information about the property, or about the bill. We had to come down after we checked in to ask another staff member about the billing. Then we find out about incidental charge, and the parking fees.
The room smelt like pee and pretty sure there is mold in the bathroom , it wasnt the cleanest."
