"Every moment of our stay was outstanding. The room was great, valet parking was a breeze, the breakfast and happy hour amenities were unbeatable, and the location directly on the Riverwalk in the heart of the action was the icing on the cake. Will absolutely be staying here again and every time we visit San Antonio."
"I recently stayed at The Menger Hotel in San Antonio, and unfortunately, my experience was far below expectations. Given the huge price point, I expected a comfortable stay, but the property feels extremely outdated and falls short of even basic mid-segment hotel standards.
Several significant issues negatively impacted my visit:
Unjustified High Costs & Parking Fees: The nightly rate is incredibly high for the quality of the hotel. To make matters worse, there is no included parking. I was charged an additional, exorbitant fee of $60 just for overnight parking.
Poor Room Conditions: The air conditioning in my room was not working properly, making for a very uncomfortable and frustrating environment.
Lack of Basic Amenities: Despite the high cost of the room, there is no complimentary breakfast offered. Furthermore, there was no microwave in the room, which is a standard convenience at most modern hotels.
Unhelpful Customer Service: The level of hospitality was incredibly disappointing. I received zero assistance from the hotel staff when I needed it, making me feel completely unsupported as a guest.
Overall, the combination of a huge price tag, extra parking fees, lack of modern comforts, malfunctioning climate control, and indifferent service made for a very poor value. I would not recommend this hotel to fellow travelers expecting standard amenities and reliable customer service."

"Had to wait for check in no one at the front desk no bell to ring ect finally after waiting someone came out from back. Was lead by info on line it was a lot closer to river walk too far to walk had to take Ubers to everything."
"We stayed over one night to see a Spurs playoff game. Reasonably close to the Frost Bank Arena and the Riverwalk. Nightlife close by as well. Didn't use the amenities but the staff was helpful with directions.
Note - Stayed at the Kimpton La Peer in LA for 3 nights. . Great property."
"Onsite parking is $41. Use SpotHero to park for $10/day if you are willing to walk for 6 minutes. Location is excellent, but the pillows were terrible. I think I only slept for 3 hours because the bed/pillows were so uncomfortable."
"This was not my first visit to a Canopy property but it was a little disappointing compared to the other properties I have visited. Staff was very friendly and helpful. "
