East Orland hotel rooms a the Independent

"Absolutely loved this hotel!! The staff manager - Amir - made the stay. He was the most helpful, friendly, congenial person you would ever meet! The hotel also had an iced coffee bar with flavoring syrups - took advantage of that every morning. They also had hot soup in the afternoons. Normally, I wouldn't have had any - except our car had troubles and we were forced to be outside in the rain for a couple hours getting it fixed. The hot soup really hit the spot after that. The room was clean and nice - the TV was nice a large. My only complaint was that the bed was super hard. So if you like firm beds - you'll love it. If not, you'll need a massage when you get home. Other than that, I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to everyone!"

"I checked in and was went to my room The room smelled of mold and mildew. I asked for another room. I pulled back the blankets of the bed, and found black flakes all over the sheet. Im not sure what the flakes were. I asked for a third room. Thr third room looked clean, but I was not comfortable. "

"Breakfast when prepared by Terry! She makes breakfast wonderful and memorable. I'm very thankful that she made sure that I had gluten-free bread or muffins, or bagels each day. I felt that my presence at the hotel was valued by her! I will be booking another visit in September because of this!"
