East Coast hotel rooms a the Independent

"The resort was clean including the beaches as well when we traveled here with friends in March 2026. We stayed 7 days and had a good time. Some negatives need to be mentioned. When you ate meals drinks would take a long time if they ever showed up at the buffet. We have just average food at best that all needed seasoning. No swim up bar…should’ve known that before hand but I have never been to a resort that had one. While we stayed there must have been 8-9 weddings which was areas blocked off on the resort we couldn’t walk through and that got roped off early for them to set up. Not the people getting married fault but maybe limit how many weddings at a time happens? It was not an inconvenience just odd where they had these set up… one was even at the buffet at the beach? Lots of people on the beach selling excursions, coconuts and random items. When I asked at check in if local vendors would set up while we were there he had no idea what I was talking about. On Thursday the day before we left they showed up during breakfast and sat up all day… one vendor said they show up every 15 days.. not sure how true that is. The shows and entertainment were not great. Very limited and honestly not that entertaining. We left one show and decided maybe let’s go bowling on the resort… all inclusive resort but you have to pay $54 to bowl? Lastly, our room was by the elevator and where housekeepers keep supplies so it was loud at 6-7am with slamming doors and loud guests at the elevators. "

"Finest Punta Cana was the perfect place for our family of 5 (with kids aged 15, 12 and 10) to relax, unwind and have fun. There are plenty of dining and entertainment options and it is a ln absolutely beautiful, modern and chic resort. The staff are so friendly and helpful and worked so hard to make our stay exceptional . We appreciated it so much. We would highly recommend Finest for anyone looking for a wonderful getaway."

"The resort was good, the room looks bigger on photos, the staff didn’t clean it properly, forgot to put sheets on beds, we had to phone front desk many times for them to come and clean the room. The kids club was ok, but the kids had unlimited access to uncontrolled YouTube on computers there. The animators were good but lack games for adults and seniors like lottery or bingo. The staff was friendly but many of them seemed tired, not smiling at all. The restaurants were very good overall. The beach was great. The tennis courts need more staff to play with. Victor, the guy who works for Expedia was awesome, very helpful and kind. "
