"Room was great and we were able to park outside the door which was appreciated. Our evening main meal in the pub was very good as was the breakfast in the morning. Would recommend to anyone wanting a bub bed and breakfast. "

"Wonderful people, rooms and location. This may be my husband and I’s favorite hotel we’ve ever stayed at. Get the tea time cakes if you can, they’re so, so good!"

"About a 20-minute walk from the centre, this place is in a convenient and easy-to-reach location. The check-in instructions were clear and straightforward, which made arrival completely stress-free.
Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is at 10am. With a relatively late check-in time and quite an early check-out, a later check-out option would be much appreciated.

"This is the worst hotel i have ever seen, we turned up after a long days working to the drunk owner arm wrestling in the hotel, smoking inside amd flicking it in a stella glass.
It was honestly like a scene out of the league of gentleman.
We wemt straight to bed, to be knoked up at midnight by the steaming owner. He demanded payment even though we had paid theough hotels.com, we showed him the receipt but he was trying to scam us.
He then kicked us out of the hotel.
Honestly guys for your...

Holiday Inn Express Folkestone - Channel Tunnel by IHG
8/10 Good
"Staff were very good. Room was good, with a large comfortable bed, decent shower and an iron and board. However March 28th and we couldnt get any life out of tge aircon, so was on the chilly side. (To be fair, we didnt ask about it so not sure if our room had an issue.) Breakfast was straightforward, but a good general selection. You get a "discounted" parking rate as a guest £6 instead of £12, but who else would be parking there? "

"The breakfast overall was nice, good choice of continental and drinks. There was everything there for a full English breakfast, but as with this type of buffet, the eggs, bacon and black pudding was overheated. I didn’t mind too much and enjoyed the whole experience"
"Room clean and comfortable. Parking was inconvenient. Not clear in hotel description where to park and how to get there. Many streets NAV system old us to use were blocked off to vehicles. Once we found the parking garage, the hotel paid for parking.
The hotel was very close to the cathedral and shopping."
"The experience I had at this hotel was truly a complete disappointment. From start to finish, everything was problematic. When we entered the room, the cleanliness was absolutely inadequate, with serious hygiene issues. There was a strong dog smell in the rooms, and the elevator smelled extremely bad as well.
The staff were uninterested and far from being solution-oriented; whenever you raised a concern, they preferred to ignore it rather than help. Additionally, the equipment in the room was either not working or in very poor condition.
You definitely do not get what you pay for here. If you want a stressful experience instead of a relaxing stay, you can choose this place—otherwise, it is somewhere you should absolutely stay away from.
I strongly recommend choosing other alternatives if you don’t want to go through the same bad experience I had."
"Room was lovely & spacious enough to work as classed as small double. Breakfast was freshly cooked & well presented with continently sides also very good to choose from. Only small issue I had was shower was although easy to work & hot was that head positioned way too low for 6'4" person. Needs to be raised where there is space to do so, I was permanently bending in there."

"Very friendly and welcoming staff. The room was clean and they had made a sofa bed up for my son. Plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits and the towels were lovely large ones instead of the usual face cloth you get to dry yourself with in many hotels. We liked the Bluetooth mirror in the bathroom and the soap etc was filled. The room and bathroom were very cold due to the old sash windows which were quite draughty. However you were able to control the heating easily and so were able to warm the room quite quickly. We did not sample the restaurant or spa services as this was only a one night stay."
