Breakfast had a good selection. Hotel is within walking distance of Main Avenue in historic downtown Durango with lots of great coffee shops, a variety of restaurants and fun shopping for all ages.

Brand spanking new property in a wonderful location for being downtown. The staff is just getting started and were very friendly and helpful, including the manager. Still working out kinks, but very pleasant room and good breakfast. My most serious complaint is with the garage fans running full blast, making noise for nearby residences and hotel properties.

I would call the Hampton Durango a hidden gem. Top 5 likes were: comfortable bed and bedding, clean room, walking distance to downtown shops and restaurants and covered, garage parking, a big plus in an area that gets summer hail.

This hotel is very new BUT has many flaws. The doors do not close right so you have to slam them. Bath tub shower leaks. Carpet has stains from the construction. POOL IS NO WHERE NEAR READY STiLL BEiNG BUILT. Breakfast was good.

We traveled with our family and specifically chose this place because of the pool, especially for the kids. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were told that the pool was closed due to remodeling. The kids were very disappointed, and it definitely impacted our experience. I wish this had been communicated beforehand, as we would have reconsidered our booking or made different arrangements. I also should have looked into it more before booking, but I feel the property should clearly disclose any amenities that are unavailable.
