"We had a fantastic stay at Taigh Duitseach in April 2024. Checking in was very easy, the property was lovely and clean, the breakfast was exceptional and lovingly cooked in front of us by Jim and Paulline who were very kind and welcoming. "Jane was an amazing hostess! The night we arrived, she prepared us tea and delicious strawberry crumpets, it was a lovely gesture after the journey getting to her lovely house. Her breakfasts were wonderful and she was very helpful in helping us decide which hikes/walks to do while on Skye. "We loved our stay at Ridge Edge Cottage! The neighbors (and their dog) were wonderful and it was so fun to live among the locals for a few nights. You have everything you need here including a washing machine (no dryer). The dishes were not all clean in the cabinet but that was an easy fix with the dish soap provided. It is quite far from Portree (45-60 minutes) but well worth the drive. "

"The hosts, Stuart and Janet, have an incredible desire to make sure that their guests are well prepared to enjoy the local culture by sharing their extensive knowledge of the area, and ensuring that guests are very well fed in the morning, having many delicious and home made options to select from. The rooms are spacious, very clean, fresh, and have many thoughtful touches not often found in the hospitality industry. The “sun” room is a wonderful place to end the day with your favorite beverage while making new friends and enjoying the views. There are ample family owned restaurants within a short walk.
