Purchased as a gift and the reception staff were extremely helpful when there was a last minute issue with travel. Couldn’t fault them at all. The stay was much appreciated by the two recipients and they would stay again.

Lovely location for the wedding we attended. Breakfast room was lovely but very busy. Rooms quite basic and bedrooms and bathrooms could do with being updated. Not enough hot water in the morning fo a shower.

Lovely friendly staff. Nothing too much for them. Ask for some mint tea at 1 am and they brought it to me. Upgraded my room to a suite as I was a late arrival and night staff carried my bag to my room. Breakfast really well run and supervisor excellent with younger staff able to cope well . Excellent breakfast with personalised ordering no bother.

This is probably my favourite hotel in Ireland. It has a great local feel and is utterly unpretentious. It seems to be employing lots of young local people and training them for employment in hospitality. Breakfast and coffee are excellent. Bedrooms and showers are great. Staff are lovely and helpful. Property and location are very convenient for Dundalk,Carlingford,Greenore and Newry. Love it

What a gem of a hotel! If you are after luxury then this has it all. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Dining whether breakfast, dinner, food is superb. Beautiful location, peaceful and quiet. Highly recommend.

An excellent hotel. This was my first time staying at Ballymascanlon and I was very impressed, particularly with the staff. What an amazing team with such friendly and helpful personalities. I have stayed in many hotels and this one is in a league of its own when it comes to staff. My only negative feedback is about the pillows. They were too hard and really could do with being replaced with softer ones.
