"This property is in a fantastic location with absolutely stunning views, which were the highlight of our stay. It has amazing potential and could be a really lovely place with a little investment.
Unfortunately, the property is looking quite dated in terms of décor. There were paint chips in several places, the walls were looking grubby, and overall it felt like it was in need of some TLC. The TVs are also quite old, and upgrading them to smart TVs would really improve the experience.
We stayed as three adults, and as the beds in the bedroom couldn’t be separated into twins, one of us had to sleep on the living room sofa. It would be a great addition if the sofa could be replaced with a sofa bed to give more flexibility for different groups of guests.
We only stayed for one night, which was fine for us, but personally we wouldn’t have wanted to stay any longer in its current condition. That said, the views are beautiful, and with a few updates this property could easily become somewhere we’d happily return to."
"Met on arrival by host and shown around.
Only a single night stay so not a lot to say really.
Host very friendly and chatty.
Excellent breakfast freshly cooked was the highlight.
If I visit this corner of Scotland again I would certainly book again."
"The manager Bryce gave us excellent recommendations for dights to see at the south end of the island and where to park on a weekend in Kirkwall. Such a unique setting and quiet."
"We had a lovely welcome, a very pleasant stay for the stop over night we were there. Clean room with everything you needed.
Breakfast selection was good, though would have liked to have the option of a Scottish breakfast to complete the experience."
"Great little place, in a great little village. Easy access to the Orkneys. Robertson's Pub is a local place with good food an atmosphere, just around the corner."
