"Really close to M5 which is really convenient. It looked like our room hadn’t been used for a while. It was clean but we had to clean a layer of dust from the furniture and kettle which was odd. Great staff, nice shower, hot water, good value breakfast and working EV car chargers. Be aware of a £9 (May 2026) car park fee. Given the location, everyone must have to drive here so it’d be better if that cost was quoted in the room cost rather than added when you arrive."

"Whole place could do with a really good deep clean. Rooms basically wiped over not really cleaned each day. vacuuming done one morning in restaurant whilst guests had breakfast. So was never going to have a proper clean. Tables sticky as sprayed and wiped with cloth, not wet cloth. Labels on pots mixed up one day so ended up putting coffee not hot water in cup. Breakfast quality varied each day. Bed not that comfortable. OK not great stay."

"The Inn felt a bit tacky, the tables were sticky. The room was clean but could do with a refresh. The walls were thin and we could hear other guests talking at night and the car alarms outside. The bed was OK. Breakfast was again only OK. It was lower cost and felt so."

"The room was very difficult to find. The floors of the hotel were like a maze. You had to go to the second floor to come back up the corridor to get to the first floor. We got lost and took us a while to find the room. The receptionist did say it was confusing to find, so they are aware of it, would be helpful if they had someone to take you to your room as its not straight forward. We were very excited to try out the restaurant, but the food was a little disappointing and didn’t live up to our expectations. The food at the club was much better. The hours for the swimming pool was very convenient. The games on the lawn were entertaining and the grounds of the hotel were very pleasant. We had the family room, which was very tight for a family with teenagers and the view was sooo disappointing as we only had shrubs to look at in such gorgeous grounds. The parking is charged on a daily basis we didn’t quite understand why they charged for the parking as the hotel was on private grounds and the land was not shared. In our experience, hotels tend to charge when they are in city centres not out in the country. I had missed this when booking and it would have definitely deterred me had i have seen it before booking. Staff were very approachable and helpful with a welcoming smile on their face all the time."
