"What to say really. We had a n absolute nightmare of a day on our way down to the hotel. We were due to land at Key West at 1200 but that turned into landing in Miami and then an 8 hour delay before finally touching down. The staff at the hotel were great contacting us throughout the day and being so friendly and attentive! We arrived finally at the hotel at 2230 and Robin at the check in was so fantastic staying back for us to be able to be checked in! We even got an upgrade. The only downside was due to the mess caused by flights, we were in the room for just a few hours. The resort was beautiful. The view from The balcony to the sea. The room was just so unbelievable it was like the stuff you get in dreams. Such a beautiful resort, beautiful room and I am certain we will be back! Thank you!"

"The rooms are modern and clean. The hotel area is rustic as it should be in the keys. My only complaint is the fees. Parking fees and hotel/service fees... Oh, and the beautiful bar with the perfect water view is only open for two hours (during sunset)."

"We love staying at Hawks Cay we have been going for years. The Property amenities are amazing. However, the Villa we stayed at (7039) was in horrible condition. Roaches in kitchen and bathroom, Shades on windows were broken in rooms. The jacuzzi outside was dirty and we were not able to use. We were extremely disappointed to have found it in that condition. I reported to the front office when we checked out. I didn't bother saying anything while there because I am pretty sure they didn't have another one available."

"Staff was very pleasant. But the stay was not cheap. And I have two "issues". First - We had a breakfast plan with the room and we were given 2 $25 vouchers (1 each) for the two days we stayed. When I viewed the initial bill, we were billed $50 for breakfast on the first day, even though we used the vouchers. The hotel staff removed that charge when I brought it up to them, but it shouldn't have been there in the first place. Second issue - We arrived around 2 pm on Sunday and left around Noon on Tuesday. Parking was $20 per day. When I viewed the final bill, we were charged for 3 days of parking, even though we spent less than 48 hours at the hotel. Yes, the car was in the lot one full day and part of 2 other days, but I have NEVER been charged for 3 days parking at ANY HOTEL EVER when I spent just two nights in the hotel. Generally, parking follows the room charge - 2 days room = 2 days parking. I think that is really poor given that this is an expensive resort managed by a major hotel chain."
