"Be careful about time of year and the heavy regulation in the city about when they can and can’t heat or cool the building. We were there in early April and it was a warm spell and they are banned from allowing any cooling in the building which made sleeping difficult. "
"Pros:
-very clean
-easy to check in and out, all done via messages/email and with electronic codes
-you only see staff during breakfast, and they are super friendly and attentive
-breakfast is great! Plenty of choices, delicious coffee, a very nice breakfast room shared with other guests, etc.
-it was super to be able to control the temp in the room, as many times it is set too cold or too hot, great shower, bidet, towel warmer, very good WiFi.
-secure parking
-walking distance (maybe 15') from everything to see in Parma.
Cons:
-As mentioned by other guests, the area where the hotel is located is a bit sketchy, and the only access to the hotel is through the parking lot, which is located in the alley. The area is the train station neighborhood, and, like in any other city, not the best to walk around, especially at night.
Parma has a reputation for being very safe, but still, we felt a tad uneasy walking back to the hotel after dinner. Having said that, many stores were open late, all sorts of people were walking around, and the restaurant next door (in the alley) was packed with customers, so that made us more comfortable. Also, right around the corner to both sides, there are much fancier/bigger hotels, so I guess it is not an unusual area of town; it is just different from the rest.

"Very friendly staff who helped with all requests and questions. Small, clean rooms. Great location for everything in Parma. You can walk with your luggage from the train station."
"The hotel is far from the city center, but walkable. The garage is extremely narrow. The area around the hotel didn’t feel save. Overall it was ok for one night."
"We stayed in a triple room which was very big, clean and facing the car park therefore quite at night.
Breakfast was simple but ok and included in the price (which seems to be rare these days).
The hotel is approx 100mt from the train station therefore not a great area to wander around at night but super handy for train travellers. Parma historic centre is less than 15mins walk away.
The only very weird thing was the strong smell of dump in the stairs on the way to the breakfast room"
"Stuffy, old room. Smelled like someone had smoked in it. You need to check in at a different hotel a 10 min walk away. But it was clean and the location is very good. "
