Cute and accomodating!

We loved out stay in Villa Lanterna. Its about 15 mins from the downtown/old town area of Dubrovnik which was perfect for us. They had a lovely pool to cool down in and was a two min walk away from a local beach. The front desk staff were so lovely. Igor carried both of our bags up for us which was impressive and so helpful after a day of traveling and was joking with us upon arrival. It is little things like that, that really show the character of the place you're staying at. The bed was big and comfy and the shower had great pressure and great hot water! Loved this little place!

Ok…

Sauberes Zimmer, Frühstück eher bescheiden (nur Instantkaffee). Der Shuttle ging nur bis zu einer Busstation. Von dort musste man noch 2 Stationen mit dem öffentlichen Bus fahren. Da kann man mit dem eigenen Auto auch „Automatic Parking“, 4 E/h nahe der Altstadt nutzen.

Buon soggiorno ma migliorabile

Il soggiorno è stato tutto sommato gradevole, di particolare pregio la disponibilità del personale, sempre gentile e preparato. Altri aspetti meno positivi, quali la colazione non a buffet, la pulizia da migliorare e il posto è difficoltoso da raggiungere a causa delle auto parcheggiate dalle persone che vanno al mare nella spiaggia libera poco distante. Spiaggia molto poco consigliabile. Resta comunque una buona sistemazione sicuramente migliorabile, ma con personale ottimo. Infine, prezzi del ristorante annesso assolutamente fuori mercato e costi non giustificati, soprattutto per il vino.

Thank you to Maya and the staff for the wonderful stay. Lovely room overlooking the bay; half board provided excellent meals in the attached restaurant; next to a small beach that was excellent swimming, we went in every day. We were picked up and dropped off at the bus depot/ferry which was so easy for us; the shuttle into Dubrovnik was a bonus -- and the driver very friendly! We would highly recommend this property, and would love to come back!

Idéal pour se détendre

l'hotel est situé dans une petit crique au pied de la plage il est très calme et on peut profiter de la piscine qui n'est pas très grande mais suffisante pour se rafraichir il est situé à une quinzaine de minutes du centre de Dubrovnik en voiture et des navettes payantes peuvent vous emmener dans le centre car le stationnement et difficile dans Dubrovnik le restaurant qui fonctionne avec l'hotel est très bien et permet de manger des plats typiques

Well located budget hotel

If you are looking for a base for exploring southern Croatia this hotel is ideal. There are transport provisions but as far as we were concerned a hire car was essential - our main aim was to see as much as we could of the Dalmation coast. There are numerous attractions along the coast and Split can be visited in a day if one has a car. The restaurant (different company) attached to the hotel is excellent and friendly but for the early riser breakfast has to be taken elsewhere. We visited towards the end of the season and while we were lucky to have some hot days we also experienced rain - few holiday destinations are at there best in the rain but our car afforded us the ability to overcome this downside. All together a great holiday. Beware the government tax at billing time.

Pleasant and quiet hotel outside Dubrovnik

Had a relaxing stay at this hotel. The hotel staff were lovely and the hotel is a short walk from a small but very clean pebbly beach. This hotel is outside of the main sightseeing areas of Dubrovnik and the hotel do offer a shuttle bus at a small charge that runs 3 times a day. Apart from a handful of restaurants there was little to do in the area and no shop within walking distance but the hotel run a daily shuttle bus to a local shop too for free. All of this made it a really relaxing stay.

Un'ottima posizione, ma tante pecche nella gestion

Bellissima posizione. Assolutamente negativo il servizio navetta per Dubrovnik poiché, oltre ad essere piuttosto costoso, non ti porta alla porta della città bensì a circa 1,5 chilometri che, percorsi con un bambino e con 40 gradi, non sono certamente pochi. Non capisco perché il bus navetta non ti accompagno in un posto più comodo... forse perché ti lasciano presso un ristorante che appartiene alla stessa famiglia? Insolito inoltre il comportamento della reception che il pomeriggio prima del giorno della partenza ha bissato alla porta della camera, e noi stavamo riposando, chiedendoci di pagare il nostro soggiorno. Mai capitata una cosa simile... temevano che saremmo " fuggiti" senza pagare?

Fantastic, magical place.

This was my first visit to Croatia, and it definately won't be my last! I went with my friend, who had visited before but to the town of Split. It was her first time to Dubrovnik and she had told me how wonderful Croatia is. On arriving at Villa Lanterna, we were greeted immediately and our case taken up to our room. We had booked a room with a sea view, and the view across the water was stunning. We had a balcony with a table and two chairs and an airer, for our towels. The room was very clean, in fact everywhere we went was clean and we enjoyed two trips out. The staff could not do enough for us and they were always friendly with a smile and chat. We visited the Old City, in Dubrovnik which is so beautiful and walked around the Old City Walls. It makes a very interesting day out and again , I would highly recommend! Overall, it was a fantastic break and I cannot speak highly enough of Villa Lanterna and their staff. Try it, you will love it.

Fint och personligt hotell nära stranden

Detta är det bästa trestjärniga hotellet jag har varit på. Vi hade ett jättefräscht rum med balkong och utsikt över havet. Perfekt ac och snabb städning. Deras restaurang var bland de bättre i Dubrovnik. Personalen hade en varm och personlig touch. Billigt med frukost om man vill ha det också. Finns en helt ok strand 100 m bort. Då hotellet är ca 6 km från old town erbjuder hotellet billig taxi fram och tillbaks (ca 60 kr enkelresa istället för 159-200 kr om man tar en vanlig taxi). Enda nackdelen var att närmsta affär ligger 2 km bort. Detta var dock inget problem då vi brukade handla inne i stan på kvällarna och sedan ta en taxi hem. De erbjöd sig också att köra oss till affären på morgnarna. Sammanfattningsvis; ett riktigt bra hotell!
