A lovely, peaceful hotel if you’re looking to get away from the city. The Adult Pool was a key feature and Jimmy at the pool bar was excellent as were the breakfast staff. The Garden Terrace room was not as luxurious as I had expected sadly although the time of year did affect this also (early sunsets, mosquitos). Overall a nice, boutique hotel.

For anyone looking for a stylized version of a desert oasis, the Bab al Shams will tick every box. Food, service and facilities are top-tier, and it provides a bona fide escape from the hustle and bustle of downtown Dubai. It is also perfectly situated across from the Al Qudra cycle track, which must be one of the world's best dedicated cycling facilities.

Wonderful staycation in the desert

We had a wonderful stay. The hotel shares a similar aesthetic and atmosphere with Al Wathba in Abu Dhabi, but with a cozier feel and modern touches that we really enjoyed. The service was impeccable. While the food didn't quite reach the heights of some luxury hotels we've experienced, it wasn't a major drawback, and the overall experience was fantastic.
