Downtown Tacloban hotel rooms a the Independent

"Best hotel in the area. Very friendly staff and pretty decent food. The mango and watermelon shakes are not creamy shakes but more like slushis. Very fresh and amazing. Its not the best hotel but it is great for the area. Jts the best you'll find "

"The bathroom was not very clean. There was mildew around the sink and on shower head. The staff immediately addressed the situation. They assigned me another room which was much cleaner. They went out of their way to make sure I had an enjoyable stay. I will stay there the next time I’m in Tacloban City."

"Obviously, the property is old already. I checked in on this hotel when it was still Hotel D Angelo and it was a bit okay. 20 years after, hotel needs to be renovated. Very evident that it is really old. No shampoo and soap provided. No dental kit, no free bottled water and no toilet paper. To think that its rate is expensive compared to other hotels in the same area"
