"Bathroom was roomy and neat. However felt so unsafe with stomping upstairs and screaming from women likely being abused. Area felt like a zone for prostitution. Door had space in the bottom which allowed dirt from outside to blow into the room. Heavy scented smoking pervasive in bedroom. Sticker behind door warns to lock both bolts to ensure safety. This is not a place for any children."

"Classic historical hotel. Recommend staying in the garden area in spring. Very nice staff. Adorable cat Annabelle greets you in the lobby. Safe location. Bed was very comfortable. "

"Fun hotel that is convenient to the convention center. The gym is great and the YMCA is really close. Bunch of great restaurants very close by. "

"The location was great: 2-3 blocks from Capitol. The Internet was extremely slow. If you want to use it, you need to pay a lot. The 'free' password did not work. Nothing is included. Parking is $45/night, but is not mentioned when booking the room. The room lacked a robe, lotion. You could tell that it was prepared in a hurry. If you have to call the hotel for any reason, be prepared to get a 1800... sales number, to wait, be disconnected and repeat the whole cycle again. There is no direct number to the reception/front desk. The restaurant/tavern on the 1st floor was very, very slow, yet expensive. Be prepared to wait for an hour in the morning just for eggs, pancakes and coffee. Staff appear to be nice, but only because they are waiting for tips. "

"I seriously have stayed in nicer cheap road side Motel 6s than this place. Room had a horrible AC unit that groaned and howled while on so badly that I couldn’t sleep with it on. Next two nights I just got the room as cold as possible during the early evening so I could turn off the AC completely when I wanted to sleep. Shampoo dispenser was completely empty; so I asked the front desk to refill it. Came back to the room and had new towels but still no shampoo. Plus shower was barely warm; not frigid or anything but at full heat it barely could be called luke warm. Smoke detector near next to the bed was another interference with good sleep. Extremely bright green led light that lit up the room like a child’s night light. Luckily it was mounted so low that I was able to move an ottoman in the room in front of it and position my suitcase in such a way as to obscure the light. "

"The hotel could use a basic "refresh". While my room was a nice size, it was a bit run down and could use an overall upgrade. The staff was great - Shane is wonderful! I was not clear when housekeeping was to come. Towels were changed every day, but my bed was only made 1 out of the 3 days I was there. Good location. "

"My experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The room door would not close properly unless it was slammed, and the trim around the door was dirty and visibly falling apart. The $20+ buffet breakfast was completely unacceptable — poor quality and not worth the price. More concerning was the ongoing construction noise coming from the adjacent room, including drilling, grinding, and loud music. When I raised this with the front desk, I was repeatedly given inaccurate and dismissive explanations (cleaning staff, outside traffic, nearby construction), none of which aligned with what was clearly audible from within my room. I even asked staff to come to the room to verify the issue themselves, and no one ever showed up. Despite all of this, I was not offered a room change or any resolution. This level of service and lack of accountability is unacceptable. "
