"Food was amazing, cleanliness very good and comfort was also good my only complaint would be service, Fawlty towers springs to mind for those of you that remember it, service was painfully slow. It's quite a secluded place and great if you just want to relax we found it to be more akin to an old folks home tbh but it didn't bother us as we weren't there during the day, the pool would have been good if it was clean though. "I recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, it wasn’t the most comfortable experience. The room itself was just okay—basic but functional. However, it didn’t feel very clean. There was an awful smell in the room that never went away. There were visible marks on the walls, a stale smell, and the bathroom could definitely use a more thorough scrubbing. What really put me off, though, was the general atmosphere. Some of the other guests seemed… off. A few were lingering in the hallways at odd hours, and there were loud conversations late at night right outside my room. I didn’t feel unsafe, exactly, but I didn’t feel totally relaxed either. The staff was polite but not particularly attentive. I wouldn’t say this is the worst place I’ve ever stayed, but I probably wouldn’t return unless there were major improvements in both cleanliness and guest screening."

"Friendly exceptionally clean hotel with wonderful menu for dinner. Good wine list at friendly prices. The bed was a medical grade mattress which was a bit too firm for us. All in all a wonderful place to stay not far from Portugal Spanish border. Listing did not say that whilst it was off a listed road it was not now the main road so was quiet.Hotel refurbished a year or so ago and is popular with locals always a good sign "
